Write It Out – Journaling, Poetry and Meditation   to Self Compassion, Intimacy and Love!

We go through extremes with our feelings. We hide, inhibit or suppress them or vent them in unproductive ways. All of us do experience stress and some of us pay a price in our health, relationships and work by having limited techniques to express our feelings and emotions. Join us for an online 30 day workshop where we talk about various tools, based on latest scientific research, such as writing, art and mindfulness to live a more positive, meaningful and energized life.  Spend just 5-15 minutes  2-3 times a week over a 30 day period.
 
Expressing painful emotions is hard--yet it can actually improve our mental and physical health. This interactive workshop will introduce you to the art of expressive writing -a simple yet powerful self-help technique grounded in scientific research.

Dr K will show you how taking just a few minutes to write about deeply felt personal experiences or problems may help you:

Dr. K’s workshop sparks transformation. At first I wasn’t sure what direction to go with my answers and writing. I asked myself “where is this going?” The questions were vague at times and I wondered what to write.  I remained open to writing expressively, as Dr. K had asked. I didn’t concern myself with structure. I just let it flow. I had all these ideas, thoughts, criticisms and things filling up my brain already day to day. I may not have realized how much these things were circling in my head. Once I started writing from different perspectives, I discovered that the things I was worried about really weren’t necessarily personal. Once I wrote about optimism and goals, I realized I have more hope to complete what I love than I thought.  Once I wrote out all that I overcame, I realized how much more I can tackle.  I had many of these ideas and thoughts in my head at random times already but his workshop helped me organize my thoughts and fill in pieces of the puzzle to produce change. The most important piece of all of it is that those vague questions nudged me to piece it altogether in the end when asked to write about action items. I wrote my action items and they made sense. I had little actions that supported my big actions. I started tackling some of these action items daily and I noticed a change. I noticed that these ideas in my head were possible. I made changes and I am still making changes. I recommend this workshop to anyone who is ready for taking the next step.
